We’d heard of the Brooklyn Army Terminal a while back — they’re sometimes used as a location for Open House New York — but today was our first opportunity to visit. My boyfriend got us tickets to a guided tour today, but because we were worried about traffic getting out to Brooklyn we ended up getting there REALLY early. We walked around by ourselves for a while, which turned out to pay off because I had time to photograph more stuff without anybody in the way. When the tour started we were wondering if it was going to be worth it because we’d already seen everything, but it turned out to be awesome nonetheless. That’s because the tour itself was very informative AND we also got to explore several floors of one of the buildings that were off-limits to the public because they’re still “unrestored” and haven’t been renovated yet.
