So I decided not only to walk home from my mother’s place today, but to take a scenic detour through Van Cortlandt Park. I wandered around on trails through the woods, walked around ball fields and cricket fields, and checked out Vault Hill, the golf course, and the geese in the pond. I also took lots of pictures, which is one of the reasons my iPod battery died on my way back home (running the pedometer app and listening to podcasts all at the same time were the other reasons).

I came home and took a quick shower, and now I’m about to take a nap. My daily steps goal is 8,000 steps, but I’m already over 19,000 steps today so I can afford to take a nap.

Once my iPod is recharged and I’m conscious again, I’ll have some pictures to share!
