It turns out that the problem with our cat’s eye may be more serious than we’d imagined. I got some drops to take home, a prescription that Rite Aid should be able to fill by tomorrow, and a cone for him to wear so that he won’t rub his eye anymore. I also got a referral to a specialist in midtown Manhattan, where I’m taking him tomorrow. For now, he’s sad and confused, and he keeps bumping into things. I can’t wait until the cone comes off, and I know that he would agree with me.

Fingers crossed …
